Data presented are the number of breeding adults estimated for each season.\n\nBreeding population estimates for most species are based on either direct counts of animals or nests. Cassin's auklet estimates are based on the percent change in burrow/crevice density within a series of index plots. This relative change is then applied to the last full census from 1989 to arrive at a current population estimate.
