Jiangsu Province is the main planting area of winter-wheat (Triticum aestivum Linn) in our country. It has an important practical significance to explore the impact of climate suitability on growth and yield of winter-wheat in Jiangsu under the background of climate change. The model of climate suitability of winter-wheat was constructed using subordinating degree function. The suitable degrees of winter-wheat during different growth stages and full-growth period were calculated in 12 sites of Jiangsu Province, and the temporal and spatial variation of suitable degree also was analyzed. The results showed that: (1) The constructed climate suitability model are suitable to express the climate suitability of winter-wheat in Jiangsu Province. (2) In order to avoid the large difference in meteorological yield of winter-wheat due to the suitability of meteorological factor may be small or zero, the multiplicative model was chosen to express the climate suitability in different growth stages of winter wheat, and the results are satisfactory. (3) There is a generally superior climate suitability of winter-wheat in Jiangsu Province. The suitability of temperature, precipitation, and climate has a weakly increasing tendency, while the sunshine suitability has a weakly decreasing tendency. (4) From the point of view of the suitability degree distribution, the sunshine suitability degree is low in southern of Jiangsu, the precipitation suitability degree is low in northern of Jiangsu, and the temperature suitability degree is generally high. There no great difference in climate suitability of winter-wheat in Jiangsu. (5) There is a low suitability degree of winter-wheat during the seedling-tillering stage in Jiangsu Province. So during this time we should pay attention to the negative influence of freezing injury on growth and yield of winter wheat. (6) The cold accumulated temperature of Ganyu and Xuzhou (On behalf of the North Jiangsu) is bigger and that of Nantong, Kunshanand Dongshan (On behalf of the South Jiangsu) is smaller. This winter freezing index of winter wheat and the calculation results are consistent at the same time period. The winter wheat appeared low temperature damage in the period when sleep before and after the end of dormancy, the late autumn and early winter and late winter and early spring.
