To discuss forage-livestock productivity and forage-livestock transformation efficiency,the livestock productivity and productivity of grassland vegetation as well as their interactions conversion efficiency under different grazing gradients (0,170,340,510,680,SU·d/y·hm~2) were studied in Xilingol League typical steppe,Inner Mongolia.The results showed that grazing utilization was beneficial to effective accumulation of vegetation dry matter and transformation as well as reducing plant respiration consumption,it presented an over-compensatory growth;with the increase of grazing intensity,the grassland livestock productivity of unit area increased,when the grazing pressure approached or exceed 510SU·d/y·hm~2,grassland livestock weight per unit area will be limited;with the increase of grazing intensity,the livestock productivity per unit decreased,when the grazing pressure approached or exceed 510SU·d/y·hm~2,the livestock weight of unit will significantly reduce.When the grazing pressure of study area at 340SU·d/y·hm~2,forage-livestock transformation efficiency can reach maximum value 12%,the grassland utilization rate was about 60%,it can be regarded as moderate grazing intensity in the context of climate change.
