The global climate governance is facing new challenges after the pull out of US from the Paris agreement,due to the gaps in mitigation ambitions,climate finance,technology development and leadership.If the global action was delayed after 2030,then the mitigation efforts will be more urgent and more costly which will result in sharp contradiction among the Parties.To deal with these challenges,China needs to actively promote the implementation of the Paris Agreement in a more comprehensive and balanced manner.With the context of domestic needs of sustainable development,China also should accelerate the economic transition towards green and low-carbon to form competiveness of advanced energy and low carbon technologies,such action will form a sound basis for addressing with climate change in the future.Under the guidance of Xi Jinping's socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era,China will study and formulate long-term strategies to address climate change and low-carbon development.Combing international leadership with domestic development and transition is the strategic choice for China to respond to the new challenge of global climate governance.
