中文摘要: The authors regret that there is an error in the reference value used to determine the electricity requirement to power EVs. In Eq. (8), we chose a value for the NOx emission factor of LDPVs in order to match total reported US annual VKT, from the paper, 3.3 × 1012 km. However, total VKT should be 4.3 × 1012 km (US DOT, 2017). This update means that VKT at each k grid cell increases by 30.8%, which would increase the electricity demand by an equivalent amount (Eq. 7). To compensate for this error, our experiments can instead be assumed to have used an EV efficiency parameter that is 30.8% higher, which results in no change to the total electricity demand (and thus no change in marginal emissions). The new EVeff value (0.162 kWh km−1, 6155.3 km/MWh) assumes adoption of EVs that are on the high end of current efficiencies, but within the range of commercially available vehicles (https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/evsbs.shtml).
