英文摘要: Remarkable progress has been made in the construction of dams in China in the past several decades. Some of the large reservoirs have “high waterhead, high flow rate, and large flow” characteristics, there will be atomization when the flood is discharged. This process will have significant impact on the ecological environment. This paper summarized the impact of flood atomization on the terrestrial and aquatic ecological environment. Based on the theoretical analysis of flood discharge atomization for pollutant degradation and the review of previous studies on atomization technology for contaminants removal in the water treatment field, the impacts of flood atomization on pollutant degradation in waterbody were analyzed. Moreover, prospects for future research work on the impact of flood discharge atomization on ecological environment were suggested. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature B.V.
