| 英文摘要: | Worldwatch has a long and successful history working in India and has established strong local connections through activities including a 2010 New Delhi workshop in partnership with the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) on strategies for low-carbon growth. Worldwatch also holds yearly launches of its annual State of the World report in partnership with CEE, which helps garner great local interest in the Institute’s work.
We are currently working to establish long-term projects in India. These include bringing our Sustainable Energy Roadmap methodology to individual Indian states and establishing partnerships with civil society organizations in India with strong community ties in order to bring greater attention to local energy needs, and to enable local communities to play a larger role in their own energy choices. In addition, we hope to engage with interested government agencies – at the local, state, and federal level – to build capacity to expand sustainable-energy access to improve livelihoods. |
