The scope of the course is that of making participants able to 3D virtualizes any archaeological site of their interest. Participants will learn how to apply GIS technology to this purpose, and how to manage different 3D software, which can better fit these needs. Different software will be used, such as OpenJUMP, QGIS, GvSIG, Meshlab, Paraview or R.
The main objective of the course is teaching the participants to solve their own problems. Therefore, many practical sessions will be displayed and, gradually, some concrete problems will be added to these sessions, so that the participants learn how to deal with them in real life.
