The Department of Health's Innovation, Health and Wealth (IHW) strategy aimed to introduce a more strategic approach to the spread of innovation across the NHS. The Department of Health Policy Research Programme commissioned a three year evaluation to determine whether the strategy is: (i) working as planned; and (ii) delivering its intended outcomes. This Appendix accompanies the report Innovation, Health and Wealth: A Formative and Summative Evaluation (RR-1143-DH). It provides a comprehensive overview of the findings from the first phase of the evaluation. The findings are presented separately by methodology: document review, interviews and surveys.
