| 英文简介: | On 2 December, the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and IIASA will be co-hosting the conference Systems Analysis Applied to Environment and Health at the Royal Society in London.This one-day conference will bring together experts, academics and practitioners to explore the latest developments in systems analysis and modelling, and discuss the opportunities and pitfalls of engaging decision makers with systems analysis. The conference will be an opportunity to debate the policy areas to which systems analysis can be applied. Its aim is to stimulate research and collaboration on applying leading-edge modelling and systems approaches to issues of scientific and policy interest.
The conference concludes with a networking event to further discuss the opportunities of systems analysis, share good practice and create or strengthen collaborations.
Following a welcoming address by Professor Alex Halliday, Vice President and Physical Secretary of the Royal Society, IIASA Director General and CEO Professor Dr. Pavel Kabat will offer opening remarks. He will be joined by Professor Duncan Wingham, Chief Executive of NERC and IIASA Council Member for the United Kingdom. Kabat will also participate in the last session of the conference on Opportunities for Integrated Assessment Model Research to discuss IIASA-UK Collaborations, and reflect on previous conference sessions.
